Jennifer's June Journal '05
Greetings everybody!!! Quite a few of you asked us what is stylish in the realm of small people. So here you’ve got the tidbits and we have even found an expert on the matter at hand, Jennifer Cattaui. Be sure to tune into her blog to learn the latest for those whom are “knee high to a grasshopper,” as my mother would say.
- Some cool cribs Trendease took note of during the International Contemporary Furniture Fair recently held in the Big Apple included one that was an expandable crib to adapt to a growing infant through toddlerhood, and another was a giant case good that was a crib-table-changing table-sofa-storage unit all in one (it was great and reminded us of a jungle gym).
- Offi offers a wonderful roll-top chair for kids to store their toys beneath their derričres as well as some other fun products like a spaceframe perfect for fort constructions, a chalkboard-topped table and a doodle drawer desk.
- And as the star of this gallery, Jennifer Cattaui, pointed out, “The "Bugaboo by" is very hush hush now but by summer it will be THE status symbol stroller. It will cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $2200, so I hear. It's the first of likely many artist collaborations: they're debuting the line with a stroller by Bas Kosters, a Dutch artist and fashion designer. It's spectacular. The Bugaboo itself is stark white while his vivid cartoon-like drawings of children pop off the stroller. Quite frankly, this is the kind of stroller that you'd have another baby for.”
On this gallery: Garden fresh talent does not always sprout up like Cabbage Patch Kids, but if motherly influence has anything to do with it, these “cool threads for bad-ass babies and trendsetting tots” are setting the right tone. Who ever said baby gear had to be pink and blue? After listening to your requests, Trendease found some trendy baby products to tickle your fancy. Babesta was founded by Jennifer Cattaui when she became a new mom (and josh is her baby cute!) to discover that most of the baby products out there are adorned with ruffles and lace, or simply all look the same. Jenn is the queen of baby style—just take a look here at these must-haves for the rock star-to-be baby, the urban baby, or the little yogini in training!
Enjoy the June edition of Trendease!
All the best,
