While differing in scale, material, and function, these projects share a commitment to translating marine environments into inspiring interiors.

Secret Craftsmanship

London — Here is the Trendease Team’s top selection of the 100 anonymously donated ceramic works by leading and emerging artists on display during London Craft Week. Exhibited at Sotheby’s and sold at a fixed price, the initiative raised funds for FiredUp4’s Clay Clubs, supporting creative opportunities for more than 2,000 young people each year.

Richly Tactile

London — Across disciplines including textiles, embroidery, sculpture, and glass, a number of artists present richly tactile works that invite viewers to look beyond the visual and engage with materiality, process, and surface. At a time when digital experiences increasingly dominate daily life, these works celebrate the physical qualities of making.

Enduring Relevance of Traditional Techniques

London — Inspired by the weaving traditions of Northern Thailand’s Lanna culture, this exhibition reimagines traditional craft through contemporary art and design. Using natural and reclaimed materials, the works explore sustainability, material innovation, and cultural heritage, demonstrating how ancient making techniques continue to inspire contemporary creative practice.

Art and Design Span Disciplines

London — Explore the intersection of fine art, collectible design, and contemporary craftsmanship. Table Scraps

Brighton — This exhibition showcased both recent client commissions and a new series of collectible furniture pieces developed through ongoing material research. Working with waste streams generated through manufacturing, construction, and hospitality, highly tactile furniture that retains a visible connection to its origins is created.

The Biodiversity Collective

London — Collaboration, a standout feature at Futurebuild, brought together experts to promote nature-positive approaches within the built environment. Through innovative biodiversity solutions, including green roofs and wildlife habitats, alongside expert talks and panel discussions, the collective championed the integration of nature as a fundamental partner in sustainable design and regeneration.

COLOR FUTURES 2024

Colors Capture the Mood

London — Global social, cultural, and design trends are explored to understand how people’s needs and aspirations are evolving. Drawing on insights from international experts, the Color of the Year palettes are developed that capture the mood of the moment and reflect the way we live, work, and connect. These hues mirror the spirit of their time.
