Jennifer's September Scribbles

Multiple British Cities — At several recent graduate shows, the Trendease Team was struck by how differently glass and ceramics came to life when they moved beyond the expected pedestal or plinth and onto the wall. Freed from the constraints of the tabletop, these works became part of the architecture itself — shifting between sculpture, installation, and surface, while creating an entirely different relationship with light, shadow, movement, and space.

Venice — For Homo Faber in Città 2026, hosted by Sanlorenzo Arts at Casa Sanlorenzo and presented by the Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship, Artemest transforms a historic Dorsoduro residence into Ca’ Riflesso, an imagined collector’s home filled with work by more than 50 Italian artisans.

London — Now taking place in Shoreditch for London Design Festival 2026, Material Matters brings together designers and material innovators. From steel and cork to textiles, timber, kelp and coffee cups, Material Matters 2026 demonstrates that the future of design may depend less on discovering entirely new materials than on seeing familiar ones differently. Through a Contemporary Lens

London — A sneak peek of London Design Festival’s, Reviving Craft; it will bring international artisans and designers together to reconsider traditional craftsmanship through a contemporary lens. From upcycled materials and ancient ceramic shards to natural fibers, the exhibition explores sustainability, memory, time, and the enduring relevance of making by hand.

Crossroads: Beyond Geography

Hong Kong — This showcase explores the meeting point between cultures, memories, and contemporary living through eight immersive interior settings. From Paris and Dubai to New Delhi, Shanghai, Seoul and Hong Kong, designers transformed spaces into vivid narratives where heritage, innovation, craft, and materiality converge.

Seasonal Directions Unfold

Paris — Design, responsible sourcing, supply chain transparency, and environmental performance are presently key drivers for international brands. Here we see Autumn-Winter 2027–28 textile selections that are brought together under one theme with four directions, highlighting textile innovations that will be presented at Première Vision Paris.

Circular Elements

Hong Kong — Across four immersive pavilions, one unexpected visual detail repeatedly appeared: the circle. From curved structures and rounded forms to circular compositions, the shape surfaced throughout the staging, creating an intriguing visual connection between otherwise distinctly different design environments.
